First I would like to thank Big Mike for inviting us out on saturday.
My children Sabrie and Preston had a wonderful time, and anything
that keeps them off the couch for a weekend is time well spent.
The morning had a nice chill to it, just cold enough to let you know
it was going to be a nice day out. I dont know if sabrie was cold or
excited but she had goose bumps and still was smilling from ear to ear.
Its not often that you find a group of people who are as open and
receptive as everyone treated us on Saturday. It did make me think
about finally having a group of people that I could get involved with
and bring my kids around.
Once we lowered the pressure in the tires and got going down the
the trail I was happy to find some mud so I could make my Jeep look
like a Jeep. There were alot of good trails in Kinta but I would have
to say that my favorite on Saturday was the water falls. This is where on
the first step Natalie D’Alessandro in her red TJ was giving it gas to go
up and spun her rearend to the right to end up wedged between rocks.
Everyone came to help her out. A winch in the front and one in the back
and she was free. A half hour later and not a scratch. To bad we cant
say the same thing about Alex Flatt who on the third step broke a front
axle. As we stood on top watching everyone come up, Sabrie pointed
out to me that no jeeps had made it up the third step. I looked to the
go aroung and there were a few. Of course thats the way I went. This is
where my daughter said. “Hour of torture some succeded some cheated.”
She was making fun of my little jeep which she used to think was to big.
I would like to thank Mike and Saundra Jones for getting up that
third step in a jeep, I was getting concerned. There were a couple
of others as well.
After being on the trails I know I need a set of the big train horns or
something like them. Along with a lot of other stuff that I'm already tring
to figure out how to get. Thanks to each of you for the great time.
My children and I cant wait to join and go again.
