Steve's shop was "The place to be" NewYers Day (evening). The dinner bell was suosed to ring at
6:00 p.m. but several Trailchasers were "broke down" on the mountain (Kamikaze Blue) and supper
was delayed until 7:00. When the detainees had not shown up by 7:00 we started without them.
Don't worry though there was plenty of hot chili waiting for them when they arrived. Thankfully
the New Years Day chili supper wasn't called a "chili cook-off". Who would've been able to vote
between Jeannie Dobson's excellent chili; Melissa Long's delectable chili or Tim and Georgia Davis'
hot and spicy chili? Of course I had to try all three. You girls and guy make a "mean" bowl of
chili. Let me not forget to mention all the great desserts that were served as well. Juanita
Mongold brought a chocolate sheet cake and coconut dessert while Jan Malone whipped up a peanut
butter cake. Yum!! There was aalso fudge, who can resist chocolate? All the "fixins" were on
hand too, i.e. crackers; conrbread; cheese; onions; chips; cakes and cookies etc. I don't think
anyone went away hungry and if they did.. it was their own fault. Door prizes were given out to
the ladies at the end of the supper. The lucky winners were Juanita Mongold, Tanja Williams; Pat
Scott; Georgia Davis and Jan Malone. They each won a "Jeep Charm Bracelet". Sorry Phil no
"Kamikazi Blue" Toyota bracelets. We all had a great timel Thanks to Steve for the use of his
shop and thanks to all the Trailchasers and guests who participated in the days activities.
Can't wait till next year.
