fuel injected with Downey header. 5 speed manual transmission. 5 inch
Alcan springs in front with Rancho RS9012 shocks and custom crossover
steering,5.29 gears with Detroit locker. 2wheel drive steering box from

and 5.29 gears with spool. 35/16x15 Interco Boggers on 15x12 steel wagon

lift jack, Uniden CB, 8ft antenna. Custom differential guards, crossover
steering arms, shackles 1 inch lift front and 1.5 inch lift rear(All designed
and made by one of the Trailchasers own Kenneth Meyer).
Robert Burgess' 1984 Toyota Xtra Cab,
stock 22R with Webber carb K&N air filter and Downy headers
which empty into 2 ½ in exhaust with matching flexpipe and finally
into a Flowmaster muffler. I opted to remove the stock fan clutch
for a Black Magic electric fan which allows me to turn it off when
crossing deep water. A V6 radiator also helps keep things cool. An
Optima Red top battery supplies electrical needs. It rides on 4"
All Pro lift with 1.5" greaseable shackles, both front and rear
spring packs have U bolt reversal kits. Front axle was moved forward
1.25" to clear the firewall for the 35x12.50x15 Mud Kings on
15x10 rims. Drive shafts are from Tom Woods when he was with "
Six States". Both have extended slip yokes and I also have spare
front and rear drive shafts when changing a U joint is not possible.
The rear leafs are still waiting to be put on. Gearing is 5.29 with
Detroits front and rear with Warn lock outs. Rancho 9000's all around.
I've done massive fender well trimming to clear the tires and also
just because I could. I run a stock 5 speed mated to a 2.28 to 1
Marlin Crawler then the stock HiLo transfer case. This gives me 107
to 1 gear reduction ratio. It has an All Pro crossover steering set
up which has made a world of difference in the handling. Custom front
and rear bumpers courtesy of Doug Minton and a Warn 9000i winch courtesy
of my retired 1988 pick up. Extended diff breathers and an All Pro rock
guard on the front diff. Custom mounted HiLift jack and cross bed tool
box to carry all the spare parts and fluids. Last but not least I use a
Uniden CB with a Lil Wil antenna, up to date fire extinguisher and first
aid kit. Future mod's are nerf bars, installing a rear winch and bobbing
the bed. Finally a big thank you to all who have helped me out in this
ongoing project.
Tom and Jan Malone now own this 5 speed, V6, 1993 Extended cab Toyota pickup along with
their 88 Bronco II that is now semi retired and will be Tom's daily driver. The Toyota
rides on 37 " Goodyear's MT/R tires with a Full Spool in the rear and an ARB in the front
with Longfield's, 4:88 gears and a 6 inch lift. The IFS was scrapped and replaced with

a solid axle with chromoly axle shaft. The bed was bobbed 14 ". It also has custom

crossover steering, diff guards, SS brake lines, Rancho 9000 shocks, Marlin Crawler,
K & N air filter, custom high clearance crossmember and skid plate, custom drive shafts,
custom front and rear bumpers, Husky tool box, CB, CD player, air conditioner and an
exo-cage. There's a Warn 9000 winch on the front and a Hi-Lift jack mounted on the
exo-cage in the rear for recovery.
David and Karla Loessins 2002 Toyota

Tacoma TRD Double-Cab has received quite a bit of help from the folks down
under. In addition to the ARB front bumper, it sits on a full Old Man Emu (OME)
suspension system. This suspension gives the truck about 2.5 inches of lift.
It consists of 882 coil springs/N91S shocks up front and full replacement

leaf packs with N85 shocks out back. In addition, OME greaseable shackles

bring up the rear. This gives enough room to run 265/75R 16 (32) Interco
Trxus radials. For protection, Mike Houlette of Custom 4x4 fabrication built
the custom sliders and rear bumper with Shane Thatcher providing the roll bar.
