Robert Jones and his OKIE ZUK

Robert's 1994 Suzuki Samurai still runs the stock 1300cc EFI motor. It breathes in through a K&N air filter and out a Flowmaster muffler plumbed with 2 1/4" stainless steel tubing. It runs a stock tranny connected to a 6.1 to 1 low range Sumo geared transfer case with a 1.75 to 1 high range. Long spline driveshafts with 1310 u-joints connect to Toyota axles ( '85 front with a Lock-right  and a '95 rear shortened 3" on the passenger side running a Detroit locker ). Both have pumpkin caps for rock protection and front has cross-over steering. Fitted with rock bumpers the rear includes a receiver hitch, shackle (d-rings) mounts and swing out tire carrier. Mounted to the carrier is a gas can, high-lift jack, tag and the wheel of fortune. The front also has a receiver mount, along with a JESUS tag, tow hook and a HS9000i winch. Body mods include TJ flares, SJ 410 grill, fold down windshield, lift-off doors with aluminum door handles, a full canvas top and a safari top. Inside you'll find a full rollcage, hand throttle, CB radio, recovery essentials, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, tools and spare parts. It's suspended on 9" longer springs from a YJ, and dampened with Trailmaster SSV shocks. Under it's 6" of lift it rides on 35 X 12.50 Goodyear MTR's mounted on Eagle Alloy 589 aluminum wheels. Wheelin' trips include multiple trips to Bengal, Clayton, Disney, Kinta, Poteau, Yanush, all in Oklahoma. I've attended the last two Zookiemelts at the Badlands in Attica, Indiana the last two years in July. Before making the trip this year I plan on stretching it 10" and converting the suspension to three link and coils with Rancho RS9000X shocks.
